Firstly I primed the mannequin with white gesso and gave it a coat of cream acrylic paint

I stamped the leafy fragment on to the tissue wrap with red stazon ink and then adhered the tissue to the mannequin with Maimeri Matte gel Medium.

I've added red lace, ribbon, some sparkly trim for a belt and also a little faux pearl necklace, The flowers are made from UTEE and a silicone mould

Fairy dust from Chocolate Baroque

Good morning my lovelies, todays card is  another sample created using the beautiful Winter Fairy Collection from Chocolate Baroque. As soon as I saw these stamps I pictured the fairies flying around in a circle scattering fairy dust as they went.

I began by blending distress inks on some white card (I used Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass, Broken Chine, Shaded Lilac) and then stamped  the swirls from the January stamp set around the edges. Once the background was dry I stamped the fairies (also from the January set) and the fairy dust (from February) with versamark and then embossed with a sparkly white embossing powder.

The sentiment is from Damask Reindeer, again embossed with the same embossing powder and die cut with Spellbinders, dusting a little more embossing powder around the edges. To finish off I added a bow and some little pearls in the corners.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
ABC Christmas: Winter Wishes
Brown Sugar: anything goes
Sister Act: anything goes

Thanks for visiting today

A Day for Daisies

Good morning folks, well as always the weekend has whizzed by and its back to work again. I had a lovely time at the weekend, feet up watching tv, eating maltesers and colouring up some gorgeous images. This beauty is from A day for Daisies, isn't she adorable?

I've coloured her with Graph'It markers and stamped the sentiment in black ink. I added a little sparkle to her wings with a Gold Graph'It shake pen, omg these pens are soooooooo sparkly! I didn't want to add lots of embellies to detract from the image so I just matted her on some coordinating card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
A day for Daisies: add some gold
Aud Sentiments: any sentiment
Colour me creative: anything goes
Crafting by Design: anything goes with a twist of birthday
Musically Challenged: girls just want to have fun

I'd better get my act together and go earn some pennies so a big thank you for visiting today

Mixing it up at Premium Craft Brands ...

Hi there folks, hasn't the last week flown? Its time for a new challenge at PanPastel UK, there's a fab prize up for grabs from our lovely sponsor Berni at Your Creativity Store and as always my talented teamies have created some gorgeous projects to inspire you.

I've made a Christmas card, I used silver PanPastel mixed with water in a mini- mister bottle and spritzed on to some black card, and used my fingers to splatter some more of the mixture on. Then I overstamped with a Stampers Anonymous snowflake stamp and versmark and applied some gold PanPastel.

I made the little tree from scraps of cream card, I stamped them with a music stamp and versamark and coloured some with black PanPastel and some with Permanent Red, I used cheap hairspray to seal the Pans and then rolled the scraps into little rolls, cut them to size and glued them to my background. I added a pot and a trunk and popped a little red bow on the pot. Now any Cristmas tree has to have some baubles so I added some Doodle Dewdrops and a little bark star that I'd coloured with gold PanPastel.

To finish off I stamped the 'Rockin around the Christmas Tree' sentiment (from Chocolate Baroque), snipped it up and popped it on the card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments: any sentiment
Crafts Too: Vintage Christmas (polychromatic)
Crafty Hands: sparkle and bling
Delicious Doodles: no designer paper

Have a good day, i'm away to tackle the ironing and make a start with cooking Sunday lunch

Edges and Baubles from Chocolate Baroque

Hi there folks and a warm welcome to my new followers. Well I've got all those nasty housey jobs done so I've turned the heating up and I'm going to put my feet up on the sofa and watch some tv. Before I go though, I wanted to share this little Christmas project made using the gorgeous Christmas and Winter Edges from Chocolate Baroque

I decided to make some bunting to hang across my mantelpiece at Christmas so I set to cutting out assorted bauble shapes from sturdy white card with Spellbinders dies and painted them with pebeo acrylic paints. Once the were dry I used the edge stamps with flitterglu and gold, brown and blue glitter from my stash. I love the way the flitterglu picks up all the detail. I used post its to mask areas on the baubles and again used Flitterglu and glitter to add some interest to the baubles. I used some seam binding ribbon to string them together and they're ready to go

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks: anything goes
Charisma: Christmas
Crafts 4 Eternity: glitter and sparkle

Bright Colours at Lavinia Stamps

Good morning folks, well actually its not a good morning as I'd booked today off work and now I have to go in aaaarrrrrgghhhh! As you can imagine I'm not a happy bunny but hey ho, it'll soon be weekend. Today's card is my entry for the challenge at Lavinia Stamps which is to use Bright Colours.

I used some silk coated card to make this, goodness knows what sort of card it was because I made it a few days ago and when I came to take the pic, the background colours had all faded which is a bit strange but on the plus side, the fairy does pop  a bit more now lol.

I used distress inks (Wild honey, spiced Marigold and fired brick)and torn paper masks to create the masks and then stamps in the different trees and foliage in Memento Inks (Rich cocoa, bamboo leaves, tangelo, rhubarb stalk) I stamped the fairy with timber brown stazon and matted the finished scene on dark brown and then on kraft card.

I'm also entering this in the following challenges:

Flutter by Wednesday: open challenge
Ladybug Crafts: autumn colours
My Sheri Crafts: Fall/Thanksgiving

Apols for the very dodgy pics, my card is actually pale green and white so you'll have to use your imagination lol.

A SplodgeAway Christmas

Hello folks, well the week is half way through and we're getting in the Christmas spirit over at SplodgeAway, there are so many gorgeous masks in the SplodgeAway range I was totally spoiled for choice! I used the gorgeous Christmas Village Stenskape for the main scene and the Snowflake border for the background.

The background was made by blending black soot distress ink on some ivory card and then stamping with a pretty Chocolate Baroque snowflake stamp and then applied white stencil paste through the snowflake border through here and there on the background. Once it was dry I added some little red gems.

I used distress inks to create the scene and added lots of glitter, I love this little scene its soooo pretty. I've had a few people ask about this mask as it looks very complicated but my advice is not to be too careful, just go for it.

To finish off I've added a die cut poinsettia with pearls in the centre, some holly vines, a seambinding bow topped with a Thermomorph heart - this stuff is really versatile, I'd made quite a few little hearts and wanted to glitter one so I just heated one up a bit and the glitter stuck!
I'm entering this in the following challenges

Crafty Bloggers: Christmas
Deep Ocean: winter
Papertake Weekly: Snow and ice
Sparkle 'n'Sprinkle: anything goes with glitter, ep or flock

Chocolate Orange Box

Good morning my lovelies, I've been playing with Kroma Crackle again, I think i'm addicted to this stuff lol. This months challenge at Indigo Blu is  Chocolate Orange, well I adore Chocolate Oranges but its not a colour combination I often use in my crafting but I couldn't resist having a play.

I took a little wooden box and painted it with brown acrylic paint and sealed it with Maimeri Gloss Medium, sanded it a wee bit for a distressed look and then edged with some treasure gold. I coloured some Kroma Crackle with orange acrylic paint and spread it over some brown card. Once it was dry, I sealed it and  used it to cover the box

The butterfly is an Indigo Blu Dinkie stamp, I stamped on vellum with Flitter glu and applied Autumn Blaze gilding flakes. I cut the butterfly out and then used a little ball tool to add some texture to the butterfly wings. I coloured some little pearls with my Graph'It markers and used them for the butterfly's body.

I'm also entering this in the following challenges:

The images are from the fab Here Comes Christmas Cd.  The backing paper is from the same cd and I've added some snowflake vellum to the die cut apertures. I've popped a battery operated tea light in side and topped it some some scraps of ribbon and lace. Here are some pics of the gorgeous images I've used

Good morning folks, well Autumn is definitely here the leaves are changing colour so quickly now but on Sunday I spotted a red admiral butterfly fluttering along when I was out walking the dogs!  Anyway back to business, todays card features the fab new stamps 'Nature Fragments' from Chocolate Baroque

I made a background using distress inks in Peeled Paint, Dried Marigold and Gathered Twigs and splashed it with a little water, blotting it to create a patchy effect, Next I stamped the 'wood' fragments with more Gathered Twigs Distress ink. The sentiment is from  Nature's Peace and is one of my all time favourites. I added some die cut shapes and a flower made by die cutting some tissue wrap that I'd coloured with distress ink.
